19-year-old drowned in tank

Tumkuru: A youth drowned to death in a tank while he was washing his cattle on Saturday at Mathikere Gollarahatti of Tiptur taluk in Tumakuru.
The deceased has been identified as Swamy, a resident of Mathikere Gollarahatti. On Saturday he had gone to the tank to wash his cattle but slipped and fell into the tank and drowned at around 11.30 a.m.
The police recouped the body with the assistance of villagers and the body has been sent for post-mortem. A case has been enrolled in Tiptur rural police station.
