Rahul Gandhi pays visit to Shringeri Matt

Chikkamagalur: Continuing his election campaign in Karnataka, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visits Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan. AICC National President Rahul Gandhi, along with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and senior party leaders, gave a visit to Shringeri Sharadamba Temple on March 21 as a component of the Janashirvad Yathra, the second phase of election campaign by the congress.
Rahul Gandhi was on a two-day visit to election bound Karnataka. He visited the famous Sharadamba temple in Sringeri Matt premises and offered prayers. He additionally sought blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, two days before last’s 68th Vardhanti Mahotsava festivities.
After visiting the temple Rahul Gandhi had an interaction with the students of the Rajiv Gandhi Sanskrit University in Sringeri Matt.
Rahul Gandhi had skipped Udupi Krishna Matt visit during his 2-day visit as he had plans to visit Sringeri Mutt.He will also be addressing a public gathering in Chikkamagaluru and Hassan March 21.
