Chitradurga: The dead body of a four-year-old kid, who was reportedly missing since March 16, was found on Wednesday morning in the quarry of Chikkajajur village. It is suspected that the kid was killed for black magic.

The victim has been identified as C Abhilash, son of U M Chandrashekharappa and Shilpa of Kadur village. The kid did not return home from the anganwadi on Friday. Abhilash’s parents and relatives had looked for everywhere but could not find Abhilash. There were bits of gossip that the kid had been kidnapped for black magic purpose.

The kid’s dead body was then found. Abhilash’s face was charred and there were burns due to acid on his right limbs.

The kid’s parents accused that the Chikkajajur police had not properly searched for their child.
