Speeding car hits a homeless man at Mangaluru

Mangaluru: A man who was resting by the road was hit by a speeding car and suffered major injuries at MG Road here.

The injured has been identified as Harischandra, a homeless man.

A police car which arrived on the spot called in an ambulance and shifted the victim to the Government Wenlock Hospital for treatment. 

Police suspect the victim was in an inebriated state when the accident occurred.

Residents complained that the road has witnessed several accidents due to overspeeding vehicles.
