Bengaluru: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that the Central government is keen on beginning electric sky bus transport between Bengaluru and Mysuru and if the state concurs it can be executed.

Tending to the gathering after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for much expected 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru express Highway venture here on Saturday, he said that the sky-bus task will begin in Delhi and tender process would start on April 15. The cost of one-kilo-meter metro train venture is around Rs. 3,500 crores, while the sky-transport costs not as much as Rs. 50 crores.

This is a transport in the model of train. Much the same as metro trains, over-bridges are built for their movement. The, metro trains go over the bridges, yet these sky-bus goes underneath the bridges like hanging cradles.

There will be stations all over like the metro stations. Around 150 passengers can sit in a bogie and 2 to 6 bogies may go without a moment’s delay. The speed of the sky-bus is around 100 km for each hour.
