Krishnappa upset with Congress leaders for sidelining him during Rahul’s visit

Bengaluru: Housing Minister M Krishnappa is learnt to have been angry with the state Congress pioneers for sidelining him amid AICC president Rahul Gandhi’s current visit to the state. 

According to the sources Krishnappa was not permitted to share the dais with Rahul Gandhi who visited Mandya district on March 24 in spite of Krishnappa being the district incharge minister. Krishnappa was denied the passage as his name did not figure in list of leaders to share the dais with Rahul Gandhi. 

The sources said Energy Minister D K Shivakumar, who was managing all plans, took the centre stage. Shivakumar’s point was to show himself as the Vokkaliga pioneer of the party in Mandya. Krishnappa, who is Congress MLA from Vijayanagar constituency in Bengaluru, is additionally a compelling Vokkaliga pioneer and a local of Mandya region. 

It is learnt that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah additionally did not make an attempt to help Krishnappa. On drawing his consideration on the issue, Siddaramaiah rather solicited Krishnappa to go to the inaugral function of Bengaluru-Mysuru six-laning road project by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Bengaluru.
