Shiroor seer denies claims of receiving notice from Sode mutt

Udupi: Shirror Mutt chief seer, Sri Lakshmivara Theertha has denied claims of receiving any notice from the Sode Mutt.

It may be recalled that, the ashta mutt seers had called upon an emergency meeting at Krishna Mutt to take a strict action against Lakshmivara Theertha for levelling allegations against them.

A news channel had aired a voice clipping allegedly of the Shiroor seer, where he has stated of being a father, and that the seers of other Astha Mutts too having children. Since we are pushed into sanyasa at a young age, we too have desires, he had stated in a voice clipping.

However, the Shiroor seer denied claims of this audio and said that someone tried to mimic him.

Shiroor seer also said that the clipping was six-months-old, and that he had taken the matter to court.
