Commuters complain of being charged extra parking fees at MIA

Mangaluru: A video footage showing a person in charged at Mangaluru International Airport demanding extra fares for parking has gone viral.

It has been reported that, a video was recorded of parking in-charge, Rupendar Singh demanding higher fare than the fare which has been fixed by the airport authorities.

The video footage shows where in Singh and his men first demanded Rs.120 for an hour and later bringing it down to Rs.60 for a hatchback vehicle as against Rs.55 as fixed by the airport authority.

MIA Director V.V. Rao in a communiqué to the media said he has asked the commercial manager to inquire into excess collection of parking fee.
