Bengaluru: Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar is more concerned about the BJP’s election strategy in Karnataka, claimed Congress leader M.V. Rajeev Gowda and demanded Javadekar’s removal over the leakage of the CBSE question paper.
Gowda, a Rajya Sabha member and a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on HRD, told reporters, “The paper leak is the result of the disastrous policies and neglect of education by the Modi government. HRD Minister is more concerned about the booth-level election strategy of BJP in Karnataka only increases this worry.”
Karnataka goes to polls on May 12th and Javadekar is the election in-charge of BJP in Karnataka.
He was critical of the IAS officer Anita Karwal, who is the CBSE chairperson and claimed that she was spending more time marketing her book about mountaineering than judiciously undertaking her duties.
The CBSE question paper leak of the Class 10 Mathematics and Class 12 Economics subjects has affected nearly 20 lakh students across India. The re-examination of the Class 12 economics paper will be held on April 25.
