Election campaign to start from Malpe : Shiroor Seer

Udupi: Shiroor Mutt seer, Sri Laxmivara Theertha will start campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections from Malpe on April 8.

Addressing the media here, swami said, “I will be starting my election campaign from Malpe after offering prayers at the Vadabhandeshwara Temple. After which I will be touring nearby areas and seek support from the Mogaveera community living in this area,”

“My intention is only to help people and find ways to sort out issues faced by them. That will be my election strategy,” he said.

“If I get elected as an MLA, I will give first preference to sort-out the problems of the people”, he added.

“I haven’t received any updates from the BJP, I would be happy if they offer me a ticket from the Udupi constituency. If not, I will contest as an independent candidate”.

“College students have agreed to campaign for me and support me in this initiative,” he said.
