Youth attack police at Malpe

Udupi: Police were attacked by youth at Malpe near here on Tuesday night.
It has been reported that, when police personnel who were on duty to check drunk and driving, were attacked by a gang here.
The accused, Devadas Putran who was on his way was stopped by the cops to check. When he was found guilty, the police tried to seize his vehicle. Putran refused to abide by the rules and threatened the police. The police said that he and his two accomplices also threatened to torch their jeep if they take away his two-wheeler, before attacking them.
A case has been registered against the youth. Further investigation is on.
