Gurgaon: Three people were injured in a clash between two groups inside the Dronacharya government college campus here this afternoon, police said. The injured were identified as Vicky and Mohan, both ex-students of the college, and Mohit, who is currently studying there, they said, adding that the students clashed over some personal dispute.
Trouble started when Vicky entered the campus today with a group six-seven of his friends armed with hockey sticks and pulled a gun on Mohit at the canteen, police said. He even fired a shot in the air, following which a crowd gathered at the scene. As Vicky was trying to reload the weapon, Mohit attacked him, they said.
In the ensuing commotion, Vicky hit Mohit with the butt of the country-made pistol and injured him, following which the crowd caught hold of Vicky and Mohan and beat them up, police added. All of Vicky’s other friends managed to flee, they said.
Vicky received severe injuries to the head, chest and stomach and was admitted to the Safdarjung hospital. The other two injured, Mohan and Mohit, were undergoing treatment at the Civil hospital here.
“We have registered an FIR against Vicky and Mohan under relevant IPC sections and investigation is underway. We are looking for the other accused too,” a police official said.
