Life sentence for 3 brothers for killing man in 2011

Mathura: A court here today sentenced three brothers to life imprisonment for killing a man at Ratankund Gaja Paysa, under the Kotwali police station limits, in 2011.
Additional District Judge Amar Pal Singh sentenced the three brothers Mukesh alias Billa, Neeraj and Rakesh alias Ranga to life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on them.
The fourth accused, Balswarup, had died in the jail during the pendency of the trial and the fifth accused, Vijai, the uncle of the three convicts, was killed by unidentified assailants outside the jail.
According to the prosecution, the accused had opened fire at Bholeshwar at Ratankund Gaja Paysa at 2 pm on December 21, 2011.
Subsequently, Bholeshwar had succumbed to the injuries in a hospital.
The FIR was lodged by Tulsi Ram, the brother of deceased.
The judge had convicted the three brothers of the crime on April 7 and the quantum of punishment was announced today.
Mukesh was also sentenced to a three-year jail term and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 under the Arms act. However, all the sentences will run concurrently.
