Bengaluru: Congress leaders who did not obtain a ticket to contest in the upcoming assembly elections rushed to Bengaluru to meet CM Siddaramaih to obtain a justification for not providing them an opportunity.
It has been learnt that many members threatened to resign if they did not obtain a ticket.
Supporters of former excise minister Manohar Tahsildhar, who currently represents Hangal, staged a protest over denial of the party ticket to their leader.
However the congress party has time until April 27 to convince the rebels not to upset the official candidates’ applecart.
