Groom wears shoes made of gold on his wedding reception

Lahore: A Pakistani groom wore a shiny golden suit, studded with jewels for his wedding reception. He matched his suit with a gold tie and wore a pair of shoes made of pure gold.

The groom has been identified as Salman Shaid, businessman based out of Lahore.

According to a media house in Pakistan, the suit was worth 63,000 Pakistan rupees. The shoes were made of real gold and weighed 320 grams.  The shoes cost around 17 lakh Pakistan rupees.

“I always wanted to wear gold shoes. People wear it around their neck or as a crown. I wanted to tell people that wealth is like the dirt on your feet, it should stay there,” Shahid tells local news channel.

“…and I always wanted to wear gold shoes,” he stated.
