Hassan: CAT has dismissed District commissioner Rohini Sindhuri’s application demanding reason for her transfer. This has delivered a major setback to Rohini since her transfer is inevitable.

Additional Advocate General Ponnanna who argued on behalf of the government said that the transfer order by the government was according to the rules.  Taking heed to Ponnanna’s argument, the application submitted by Sindhuri was dismissed.

High Court Complaint

A writ application will be submitted to the high court with regard to the order on April 19th, informed the lawyer Subrahmanya Joyce.

Sindhuri had submitted an application to the Central Administrative Tribunal, questioning her transfer after she received transfer orders as the official for employment and training department.

War with A. Manju

With the announcement of elections and the imposition of Model Code of Conduct, the district commissioner herself booked a criminal proceeding against district in-charge Minister A. Manju after claiming that work had taken place at the district in-charge Minister’s office which was in violation with the code. Following this notice, A. Manju claimed that the district commissioner had personal grude against him and therefore she had filed the F.I.R. and on April 7th, he sent a request to the election commission that she be transferred. In relation to this, the election commission asked a report from Mysuru Regional Commissioner. According to the verification conducted by Mysuru Regional Commissioner Shivayogi N. Kalasad confirmed that there was no truth in the allegation against Rohini Sindhuri. The report claimed that it was a baseless allegation.

The government ordered the transfer of Rohini Sindhuri to Mysuru and Mysuru District Commissioner Randeep D. to Hassan.

Rohini Sindhuri remained in Hassan by sending a stay application against her transfer order to the Central Administrative Tribunal.
