Bengaluru: The Election Commission has looked for a report from the State government on the issue of transfer of Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, whose transfer was cleared by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on April 17.
The issue has been in the news for quite a while after the state government transferred Rohini Sindhuri Dasari alongside three other deputy commissioners when the Election Commission was changing the summary electoral rolls. The commission had protested the transfer at that point.
Speaking to the media persons Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar on Thursday said “We didn’t have information (about her case) and we were not a party for the situation as well. We have requested a report from the State government regarding this,”
Whenever inquired as to whether the commission was troubled about her transfer, he said that it was not a matter of being happy or disappointing and it was not about the individual, but rather of the system. “There ought not be any uncertainty in the process anywhere,” he said.
