Bagalkote: The BJP has chosen to field B Sriramulu against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from Badami constituency. Sriramulu will challenge Badami as his second seat now and test the CM in this OBC ruled constituency in Karnataka.
Sriramulu recorded his nomination from Badami today. He was accompanied by BJP president Yeddyurappa, union minister Prakash Javadekar and BJP in-charge for state Muralidhar Rao.
The party is as yet attempting to discover a candidate and to go up against Siddaramaih’s son Yathindra in the Varuna constituency.
Sriramulu had before recorded his nomination papers from Molakalmuru constituency in Chitradurga.
In response to Sriramulu being fielded by the BJP against him from Badami, Siddaramaiah stated, “Let them field anybody. I am not stressed over who the rival is. Elections are battled on belief systems and not between people. We are battling against communalism, we are battling communal forces and we need to vanquish communal forces.”
