Mysuru: BY Vijayendra, child of previous CM B.S. Yeddyurappa stated that he was neither dissapointed nor hurt for missing the BJP ticket for Varuna,.
Soeaking to the media here on Tuesday he said that he was expected to oversee just Varuna constituency now, the party had made him the in-charge for more than 20 constituency. “I won’t flee from Varuna or Mysuru. I am staying here and campaigning for all competitors of my party. My rented house in Varuna will be used for party exercises”.
Mr Vijayendra said he was not interested to know the reasons why he was not given the party ticket. “I would prefer not to accuse my party’s national leaders nor would I like to scrutinize the decision. I am only a party worker and not anybody more than that. This is just a start and I am idealistic of getting opportunities in the coming days. My prompt need is to campaign for BJP applicants in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar district. I am sure that the BJP will win the assembly polls and Mr Yeddyurappa will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.”
He apologized for the untoward occurrences in Nanjangud town that brought about a lathicharge by the police on Monday and the inconvenience caused to people in Mysuru following a Rasta roko arranged by his party workers who were furious about the refusal of ticket to him.
He denied reports that Mr Yeddyurappa may hold hands with other parties to come to power and said his father was committed to principles and the ideology of the party.
