Militants attack police post in Budgam, decamped with four rifles

Srinagar: Militants disarmed policemen guarding a temple in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir and decamped with four service rifles, police said today.

The ultras barged into the police post, set up for guarding the temple at Goripora in Budgam, late last night and disarmed the cops posted there, a police official said.

He said the militants then decamped with four service rifles from the police post. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt for the militants, he added.

The official said a departmental inquiry has been initiated into the incident.
