Robber in the guise of Swamy steal gold from woman

Bengaluru: A burglar in the appearance of a sage, looted 270 grams of gold from the house of a relative of Kempaiah, IPS officer and advisor to the state home department. This episode is reported for from HBR Layout of Hennuru.
Mamatha, wife of Chandrashekaraiah, RTO officer, is the woman who lost the gold after she came into the trawl of the theft. Mamatha is a housewife and is alone at home when her husband goes to work. The thief, who watched that the woman is alone at home, moved toward her at around 4 pm and revealed to her that her health isn’t alright and he can set it right by performing a pooja. Incidentally, Mamatha was suffering from some ill-health and she readily agreed and allowed the Swamy inside the house.
The fraudster solicited Mamatha to sit in front from her and began the demonstration of doing pooja. At that point he sprinkled a powder which he had in his pack on Mamatha. As Mamtha breathed in the powder bound with chemicals, she fell unconscious and the cheat Swamy stole the gold chain on her neck and two gold bangles she was wearing on her hands. He additionally took some silver ornaments and fled the spot..
After regaining consciousness, Mamatha came to know that she is taken for a ride by the trickster and she informed the same to her husband. The couple has registered a complaint in this regard at the Hennur police station. The police are on the search for the concerned person, whose picture is captured in the CCTV.
