Bengaluru: A police head constable’s wallet was allegedly robbed at a paying guest accommodation where she lived in Mathikere, here.
The victim, Jyothi BA (29) working at Malleswaram police station, filed a complaint with the jurisdictional Yeshwantpur police on April 26.
In her complaint, she states that the wallet had her ID card, Aadhaar card, debit card, a gold chain and other items worth Rs. 45,000.
The police, who went to the PG for inspection, said the CCTV had stopped functioning owing to a wiring problem. “There is a possibility that someone could have disconnected the CCTV to commit the theft,” said the police.
