Koppal: A fight between Dalits and caste Hindus in Mainahalli village has led to the arrest of around 12 people. According to the complaint filed by Mr. Basavaraj, the fight began as a war of words between a caste Hindu youth and a Dalit youth in the annual fair of the village on Wednesday night. The situation was brought under control by the involvement of the village elders.
But later, a group of the caste Hindus assaulted a few Dalits, verbally abused them and misbehaved with the women present there too. The FIR filed by Mr. Basavaraj has resulted in the arrest of 12 people involved in the attack and the Alwandi Police are investigating further.
