Labour department wants PL for all laborers on voting day

Bengaluru: The Labor Department has demanded for paid leave (PL) for the private company, institution workers, and laborers on May 12, to cast their vote amid the state Assembly elections.
An official from the department “Paid leave ought to be sanctioned to the laborers to cast their votes. In the event that production is must, an alternative system should be developed for the production and such laborers should be given enough time to cast their vote,”
Additional Chief Election Officer effectively requested the labor department commissioner to make quick move to sanction PL to all laborers and workers working in all shifts.
