Bengaluru: Among the scores of entrance tests that students in the State have to write, one was crossed off the list on Sunday. The entrance examination conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) witnessed students from all over the country testing their intelligence, in order to secure a seat in a desirable college.
The entrance examination was conducted online in three sessions in 137 cities across the country and 24 cities in the State. In Karnataka, the test was conducted in 108 centres, of which 48 were in Bengaluru. A total of 25,405 students took the test in the State, of which 21,889 had their centres in Bengaluru. Throughout the country, the total number of students who appeared for the examination was 62,306.
Most students said that the test was easy, compared to the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) and Indian Institute of Technology- Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). The provisional answer keys for the examination would be notified on the COMEDK website on May 17, while the final answer key will be available from May 25. The students will get their score cards on their respective applicant login on May 28.
While most students found the examination easy, owing to their hard work and thorough preparation, some students faced inconvenience because the computers kept shutting down frequently due to some technical issues.
