Under-trials create ruckus in prison

Mangaluru: Some undertrials made furor at the Mangaluru sub-jail in Kodialbail on May 20 late night bringing about injuries to police faculty.
The battle broke out between undertrials in a cell and when the jail authorities endeavored to mediate they assaulted them as well. The harmed were taken to Wenlock hospital.
DCP Hanumantharaya stated, “On Monday night when jail superintendent was leading an enquiry with respect to prison inmate Jalal, different detainees of Cell 1 of A-Block all of a sudden hurried out and put off the passageway lights, tube lights and broke the CCTV camera. In the episode jail superintendents Muttappa, Ramesh G and jail administrator Parmesh sustained wounds on head,”
