DKS, Parameshwara, Reddy in run for Deputy CM’s post

Bengaluru: There is a solid battle between three senior Congress pioneers Ramalinga Reddy, G Parameshwara and D K Shivakumar for the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the Congress-JDS coalition government in the state.
As per the sources, Parameshwara firmly requested the Deputy Chief Minister post while former home minister Ramalinga Reddy has communicated his desire to hold Home ministry.
Additionally, sources said that D K Shivakumar, who assumed a noteworthy part in the development of the coalition government, likewise requested the home ministry and is said to campaign for it at the high-command level. Considering the forthcoming Lokasabha elections, DKS might be designated as KPCC president.
In any case, the Deputy CM post has turned into a migraine for the Congress party. Alongside the above three, names of M B Patil, Shyamanoor Shivashankarappa and Sathish Jarakiholi are additionally on the list.
