Illegally stocked sand seized near Agasanakere

Udupi: A huge quantity of illegally stocked sand was seized by a team of officials led by Kundapur Assistant Commissioner Bhoobalan raided a place near Agasanakere in Mooduthonse of Kalianpur TP limits.
It is said that the total seized sand is equal to nearly 180 lorry loads. Investigation is on in this regard.
The sand was stocked to facilitate construction of multi-storied buildings in Kalianpur Santhekatte area and that the sand was extracted for Swarna river, inform sources.
