Heavy rain claims one life in Nellyadi

Mangaluru: Heavy rain in the coastal districts caused severe damage and claimed one life after the lightning struck a youth on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as, Praveen D’Souza from Nellyadi.

Lightning also struck the house of Srinivas, a resident of Nettaru in Sullia.

Two houses in Mangaluru were also due to lightning.

A house in Hosangadi in Beltangady taluk also was damaged due to rain.
