Bengaluru: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy had his first public interaction on Tuesday. Hundreds of people with grievances gathered at the CM’s Home Office at around 9 am, hoping to speak a few words with him. They also wanted to submit memoranda to his office about their issues. The public demands ranged from employment to financial assistance for health.
76 year old Govinde Gowda waited patiently to meet the Chief Minister, with whom he wanted to request an allotment of a residential site in Kunigal, his native. Gowda said that he had met five Chief Ministers so far with the same memoranda, but had failed to see any result. But nevertheless, he was optimistic of his demands being met.
Mallikarjun from Bijapur wanted an increase in senior citizen pension and reduction in travel fare for senior citizens. A few physically-challenged persons also met the CM to speak to him about their problems.
