Big win for Congress in RR Nagar

Bengaluru: Congress applicant Muniratna has won from Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency by an immense edge of more than 25,000 votes against the BJP candidate.

Congress competitor Muniratna had kept up an immense lead of 33,000 votes against BJP’s Muniraju Gowda. In the last count, Muniratna accumulated 1,08,064 votes while Muniraju surveyed 82,572 votes, and JD(S) came third with 60,360 votes. 

Towards the final rounds of counting, Muniratna had secured 1,03,195 votes, trailed by BJP candidate with 69,769 votes and the JD(S) 54,289 votes. Independent applicant Huccha Venkat had secured 514 votes.
