Kalladka and Punacha schools will be covered under ‘Akshara Dasoha’ scheme

Bantwal: Kalladka and Punacha high schools, which was earlier receiving grant from Kollur Mookambika temple, was stopped earlier in March 2016, have now been covered under the hot meal programme of the government.

Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Kalladka and Sri Devi High School, Punacha will be covered under ‘Akshara Dasoha’ scheme of the government.

The school management had earlier approached the government during May end this year, seeking the schools to be covered under the free lunch programme of the government from June.

The denial of aid from Kollur temple had become controversial after Sangh Parivar outfits and BJP members protested against Congress government for this move.
