The new Deputy CM should be a Muslim: Imtiyaz Khan

Shivamogga: Expressing that Muslims were the second biggest group in Karnataka, Congress District Vice President Imtiyaz Khan, requested that the post of deputy chief minister ought to go to an individual from the Muslim community.
At a press meet here on June 1, Khan said that the Muslim community has been supporting the Congress from the begining. “There is most likely that in the last elections, a noteworthy piece of the Congress’ votes originated from the Muslim community”, he said.
He additionally said that in the state Congress’ history, there has not been a Muslim Deputy CM and requested that one be delegated from the Muslim people group in this coalition government.
“We have skilled leaders like R Roshan Baig and C M Ibrahim for the post of Deputy CM,” he advocated.
He additionally talked about his intends to meet with AICC President Rahul Gandhi, MP K Venugopal, former CM Siddaramaiah and other noticeable pioneers of the party to discuss their desire for atleast three individuals from the Muslim community to get a cabinet berth and chairmanship of various boards in the new government.
