Bengaluru: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided on  D K Shivakumar and his brother, Bengaluru Rural and Lok Sabha part D K Suresh, have raised another tempest.

While the examining offices affirm that the brothers were associated with tax evasion, the brothers guarantee that the union government is misusing the investigative agencies for political grudge.

The CBI has so far asserted that it has been seeking after the case since 2017 when the racket was uncovered. It is assembled that proof is mounting against Shivakumar and Suresh regarding the cash trade racket amid the 2016 demonetisation. The CBI acquired court orders from a local court against Shivakumar, Suresh and 11 others, including their associates and some relatives.

The residence of Padmanabhaiah, who is purportedly connected to Suresh in Bangalore Rural, Deputy Tahsildar Shivananda, in-charge of electoral cards in SDM office in Kanakapura and election cell office in Tahsildar’s office Nanjappa were searched. As indicated by an official discharge issued by the CBI, the quests were being directed at five places in Bengaluru, Kanakapura and Ramanagara.

It might be reviewed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reported the demonetisation Rs 500 and Rs 1000 category notes on November 8, 2016. The following day on November 9, banks stayed shut.

It is asserted that duplicate voter ID cards were utilized to trade the black money. Between November 10 and November 11, 2016, around 120 copy voter IDs were deceitfully issued from the Tahsildar’s office with no solicitations from the voters. As far as anyone knows, these voter IDs were utilized to trade demonetized notes worth Rs 10 Lakh at the local cooperative bank by Padmanabhaiah. “Padmanabaiah had professedly traded the Specified Bank Notes (SBN) in the bank”, said the CBI public statement.

Sources asserted that the CBI had received confession from a cooperative bank manager in Kanakapura in the Ramanagara region, amid the investigation. The bank chief admitted to have changed over the demonetized notes at the command of Suresh. Curiously, D K Shivakumar is the MLA from Kanakapura. As proof mounts, the charged might be captured by the CBI soon.

The Congress leaders Shivakumar and Suresh, called a press meet on the heels of the capture warrants being issued on May 30. They blamed the BJP for abusing central investigative offices against them to bait them into changing sides to the BJP. “The BJP is bending over backward to bait us towards them”, said Suresh.

It is a genuinely open mystery that D K Shivakumar was instrumental in keeping the BJP from transferring Congress MLAs after the election results were declared. It might be reviewed that BJP’s B S Yeddyurappa had even called D K Shivakumar as a “villan” on the floor of the Vidhana Sabha.

In this unique situation, Suresh claimed that they have been targetted as retribution for the BJP’s failed endeavor to come to power in Karnataka. The brothers additionally guarantee that they have done no wrong and they stay loyal Congressmen.
