Two killed in blast in Lucknow

Lucknow: Two people were killed today in an explosion in a house in Kakori area, on the outskirts of Lucknow, police said.
The explosion took place at around 11 am at the residence of a man, Nasir, due to which the house collapsed and several others were damaged, Superintendent of Police, Lucknow (Rural), Gaurav Grover said.
One of the deceased was identified as Ramsharam (40). The other, a woman, could not be identified as she was blown to pieces.
A probe is underway by forensic teams to ascertain the cause of the explosion, Grover said. Prima facie, it appears that some explosives were stored in the basement of the house, which caused the explosion, the police said.
