Bengaluru work accident kills youth from Uppinangady

Uppinangady: A youth from Uppinangady has died after meeting with a work place accident. The deceased has been identified as Guruprasad (29), a resident of Sadharmagiri house in Barya village here.

Guruprasad, son of Krishnappa Madivala was working as a supervisor in a private company at Bengaluru since 8 years. On May 28th, during the unloading of iron roll sheets by the designated staff, he chose to lend them a hand when the iron roll fell on Guruprasad’s neck inflicting grievous injury.

Due to this incident, his brain became disabled and was rushed to the hospital, but he did not respond to the provided treatment and succumbed to his injury.

He is survived by his father, mother and four sisters.

Organ donation

Amidst the untimely death of his only son, Krishna Madivala expressed his humanity by coming forward to donate his deceased son’s organs. Though he could not save his son, his organs may save someone else’s life, was the reason he took this step. According to his decision, Guruprasad’s eyes, kidneys and liver was donated to the hospital post which his mortal remains were brought to his home town Barya on Saturday followed by which he was given his final rites.
