Mandya: A tempo  driver was found  hanging inside his vehicle on June 8 at the Chikka Mandya town here. The villagers presume that he may have committed suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Karthik (25), grandson of Late Rajanna. In spite of the fact that Karthik’s parents live in Keragodu town, he was living at his grandparents’ home in the Chikka Mandya, sources said.

For as far back as 5 months, Karthik was driving the tempo for a travel agency in Mandya. After finishing the day’s work he used to park the vehicle at Chikka Mandya.

On June 7, Karthik had parked his vehicle as usual in Chikka Mandya. He chatted with his friends until midnight. At the point when his friends went home, he had reportedly informed them that he would be sleeping in the tempo.

Next day on June 7, Karthik did not answer telephone calls made by the proprietor of the tempo. Two of the employees enquired about his whereabouts at his home. When they looked through the tempo, they discovered Karthik hanging from the top of the vehicle.

In the meantime, Karthik’s parents suspect foul play in the demise. In their complaint, they assured that their son would not take such extreme step. They have raised a doubt that their son may have been killed for obscure reasons.

Police have enrolled a case of unnatural death and further investigations are in progress.
