CCB police submit chargesheet against Tejraj for stabbing Lokayukta

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police presented a 230 page charge sheet to eighth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court of the city against Tejraj Sharma, one who assaulted Lokayukta Justice P. Vishwanath Shetty recently.
The charge sheet includes 58 witness statements, 145 documents alongside the CCTV film which shows the accused entering the Lokayukta chamber. The witnesses incorporate Lokayukta office staff, Dalayat Subramani, CAR police who conceded the Lokayukta to the hospital, Mallya Hospital doctors and officers against whom Tejraj made allegations.
Sharma, a native of Tumakuru, who cases to be a RTI activists, admitted that he tried to execute the Lokayukta. “I submitted 5 complaints to the Lokayukta around 15 corrupt authorities working in Tumakuru and Kolar regions. The Lokayukta completed three cases saying to lack of evidence. Along these lines, I chose to execute him”, he said.
“I used to meet him once in each 15 days with complaints and requested re-investigation. Once the staff stated, ‘this person always comes with fake complaints. Don’t allow him inside’ and sent me back. That day itself I bought knife paying Rs.60 and went on March 7” he included.
However, Investigation Officer and CCB DCP Jinendra Khanagavi stated, “Tejraj used to supply furniture to the government offices and gave fake complaints against the ones who denied to buy it. As Lokayukta shut the cases, he missed Rs.1.71 lakh commission and he was annoyed with that.”
