Rowdy sheeter hacked to death by rival gang

Bengaluru: A 31-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by a rival gang on Sunday midnight in the Konanakunte police station limits, south Bengaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Jayanth a resident of Chamarajapet.

Jayanth was returning home in a bike with friends when five men in a car rammed his bike before attacking him with lethal weapons.

Subramanyapura police personnel saw one of the assailants, Pawan running with a weapon in his hand and arrested him. During an inquiry, he confessed to the crime.

“Shivanna and Manjunath, constables attached to Subramanyapura police station, spotted one of the assailants running with blood stains on his clothes. They caught him and he identified himself as Pavan. He told police they had hacked their rival Jayanth near Konanakunte Cross,” police said.

Police are now hunting for four more suspects, who are at large. “We have clues about the killers and will nab them soon,” an officer said.
