Two complaint against BJP leader involved in fake voter ID case filed

Bengaluru: Adding another measurement to the Rajarajeshwari Nagar voter id fraud case, two voters from the cnstituency have filed separate complaint against BJP MLA candidate Muniraju Gowda for unlawfully gathering their voter id cards and additionally dishonestly embroiling RR Nagar Congress MLA N Munirathna in the voter id fraud case.
As indicated by the complaint documented by R Kumar (39) and C Anandan (49) at Nandini Layout police headquarters, Muniraju Gowda had organised a rangoli competition in Laggere six months ago. He allowed entry to participants only if they submit their voter id cards and advocated the act saying that he simply needs to ensure that the members are from his constituency.
Muniraju gave away gold, silver and cash as prizes for the winners. Nonetheless, after the competition, he refused to return the voter id cards of the people and said that all voters will get the cards on the election day and he asked people to vote in favor of him, the complaint states.
After the voter id cards were seized by the police and election commission, Gowda debilitated people to name Congress candidate Munirathna if addressed, says Kumar in his complaint.
In another complaint, voter C Anandan says that he went to the police station after the voter id cards were seized to file complaint against Gowda. In any case, he guarantees that the police declined to record his complaint and his complaint is currently being enrolled on the directions of the court.
Presently a case has been filed against RR Nagar Congress MLA N Munirathna for unlawfully gathering more than 10,000 voter ID cards.
