Vijayapura: Parashuram Wagmore had earlier run-ins with the police, and was one of the people arrested for professedly hoisting a Pakistani banner in his hometown of Sindagi in Vijayapura area in 2012, with the motive of creating communal tension in the district. His cousin Arun Kumar Wagmore was one of the prime accused for the situation.
The flag was lifted early morning on January 1, and later in the day, a group of residence sorted out a protest before the tahsildar’s office, claiming that the Muslim people group was behind the occurrence. The protesters blocked the road and flung stones at buses before the police implemented orders. No less than six individuals, including Parashuram, were arrested for the situation.
As indicated by the nearby police, Parashuram was a Hindutva supporter belonging with Sri Rama Sene. Sources said he was known to carry country made guns and practice shooting.
Parashuram ran a computer centre at Basaveshwara Circle in the town. He had a couple of companions. At the point when the news of his arrest spread, his mother went into shock and was admitted to a nearby government hospital. She was discharged after treatment but did not come back to their family’s home in Basavanagar area, which was locked. Neighbors declined to address the media.
