No proposal to bring Matthas under muzrai department: Patil

Bengaluru: Minister Rajashekhar Patil, who has been given muzrai portfolio, cleared up that there is no proposition to bring Matthas under the jurisdiction of his department. He additionally expressed that the legislature won’t meddle in the matter of Matthas.
“Income up to Rs 700 to 800 crore is earned out of muzrai temples in the state each year. It has been chosen to utilize this sum for the development of these temples. Also, income from ‘A’ category temples is proposed to be used for the development of ‘C’ classification temples falling inside its jurisdiction,” he clarified.
Patil, who additionally is the minster for mines and geology office, expressed that privately owned businesses are being allowed to import sand from abroad in perspective of deficiency of sand in the state.
There is data that Rajashekhar, who has been given extra charge of muzrai office, has chosen to surrender this division to the Chief Minister priest.
