Bengaluru: Medical Education Minister D K Shivakumar said that CCTV cameras will be introduced soon in each ward of the government hospitals and medical colleges to control corruption and put a break to the inertness of the health staff.

The minister addressed media people amid his sudden visit to Victoria Hospital as there were complaints about the working style of the hospital, on Friday. The government medical education institutions should become higher than the private universities. Along these lines, it has been decided to introduce CC cameras to put a break on the recklessness of the staff at the government medical colleges.

Likewise, staff bio-metric system will be introduced. In the days to come, I would visit every single medical college to observe the situation. Alongside this, the request will be executed inside 75 days, to begin unified patients’ enrollment and billing unit in all hospitals, which come under Medical Education Department, DK Shivkumar said.
