T R Suresh becomes Mangaluru police commissioner again

Mangaluru: T R Suresh once again became the police commissioner of Mangaluru after acceotiung his charge at the city commissionerate here on Monday June 18th.
He takes his charge from IPS officer Vipul Kumar who has been transferred back to his previous post as inspector general of police and director of the Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru.
T.R. Suresh had been transferred as per the directions of the election commission due to the Legislative Assembly elections. Post the conclusion of the election process and the new government in charge, the police officials were transferred back to their pre-election posts.
T R Suresh started his career as IPS officer in 2003. He has served in Vijaypura, Bagalkot, Uttar Kannada, Hubballi and Dharwad, and as DCP (law and order) in Mysuru, Lokayukta department in Tumakuru, additional SP in Belagavi, as SP in Kodagu, Bagalkot, Raichur and Tumakuru, DCP Bengaluru (north east), DCP (north) in Bengaluru and as DIG of fire services, Bengaluru, before taking charge as police commissioner of Mangaluru city in June 2017.
He is a native of Shivamogga and holds MBA degree. He has also been was awarded the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
