Father and son drown in Bagaluru lake

Bengaluru: A father and son duo were drowned to death on Monday evening when they had taken a dip at Bagaluru Lake in Mylanahalli in north east Bengaluru. 

As indicated by the police the deceased have been identified as Jitendra Sharma, 38, a carpenter, and Luv Kusha, his eight year old son. The family resides in Bagaluru. 

Preliminary examinations uncover that they both wandered into the lake for a swim and drowned. According to Maruthy, District Fire Office, Hebbal, they drowned on Monday, but the incident came to light early Tuesday when local people in the region saw their clothes and informed the police control room. 

He said the fire control room was informed on Tuesday morning, following which the rescue team was called. After 30 minutes the bodies were fished out. 

Police said that the dead hailed from Uttar Pradesh. A case has been enrolled and bodies have been given over to the family.
