Trains hits two kids at Kumble; Three-year-old boy dies, brother critical

Kasaragod: A three-year-old boy was run over by a train at Mogral near Kumble here on Sunday June 24th. The deceased has been identified as Bilal (3), son of Siddiq, a resident of Mogral Koppal.

His elder brother Ismail (5) sustained critical injuries and is fighting his battle for life at a hospital in Mangaluru.

Accordint to sources, the terrible tragedy occurred when the mother of the children had gone out. The family’s house is located near the railway tracks. The children had gone near the railway tracks looking for their mother, when a Mangaluru-Kannur bound train ran over them, it is said.

Kasargod town police and railway police rushed to the spot and the town police have registered a case.
