Mangaluru: Volunteers of Ramakrishna Mission’s Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan cleaned areas under the Bikarnakatte flyover, as part of the abhiyan’s 37th ‘shramdhan’ on Sunday. They removed posters from the walls of the pillars of the flyover and cleaned the walls.

A group of volunteers removed the dirt and garbage lying around the flyover area, while another group cleaned the drains adjoining the highway leading towards Padil. Both sides of the highway were removed of weed by using a grass-cutting machine.

The volunteers removed Illegal flex banners and hoardings here and replaced the broken down temporary seats with new seats beneath the flyover. A workshop on ‘filth to wealth’ was organised for senior citizens.
