Gambling den raided; 51 arrested

Mangaluru: Urwa police raided a club near K.S.R.T.C. bus stand on charges of gambling and arrested 51 persons and seized 1,68,700 rupees in cash and assets from the location.

Urwa police conducted the raid based on definite information that gambling was taking place at Shambhavi Recreation Club near K.S.R.T.C. bus stand. During the raid, the police arrested 51 persons, seized 1,19,300 rupees cash used for gambling, 40 mobile phones and assets worth 1,68,700 rupees.

This operation was conducted under the direction of Mangaluru Police Commissioner T.R. Sureash with the guidance of DCP Hanumantraya and Uma Prashant.
