Leopard found dead in a trap at Sakleshpur

Hassan: A leopard was found dead at Sakleshpur in Hassan District on Wednesday.
The body was burnt by forest officials after necropsy.
Lingaraju, Assistant Conservator of Forests, informed a media channel that the locals had set up a snare to catch a wild boar but a leopard got trapped and died. The snare squeezed its abdomen leading to its death.
The forest officials suspect that the animal would have got caught in the trap on Tuesdat night while the body of the animal was discovered on Wednesday morning.
