Jammu: Two more doctors were placed under suspension for remaining absent from their duties in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said today.

A team of officers conducted a surprise inspection of various government offices and health institutions in Rajgarh Tehsil yesterday, the spokesman said.

Additional District Development Commissioner Ravinder Sadhu ordered the suspension of two ISM doctors posted in Rajgarh after they were found to be absent without seeking permission from the competent authority, he said.

He said an inquiry was ordered and the officer directed to furnish his report within a week’s time. On June 27, Sadhu had suspended 17 government employees, including three doctors, after they were found absent from their duties during surprise inspections in the district.
